Call for applications Letten Prize

Young researcher? Are you working within the fields of health, development, environment or equality in any aspect of human life? Then apply to the Letten Prize!

The prize is open to researchers under the age 45 from all corners of the world. Candidates meeting the criteria must apply by February 2, 2021. For details regarding the application, see the application form.

Short listed candidates will be interviewed and the winner will be awarded the prize at the prize ceremony taking place in Oslo on September 7, 2021.

About the Letten Prize

The Letten Prize is a collaboration between the Letten Foundation and The Young Academy of Norway. The prize of 2 mill NOK (ca. 182 000 EUR/213 000 USD) will be awarded biannually. The first prize was awarded in 2018.

The purpose of the prize ‘is to recognize younger researchers’ contributions in the fields of health, development, environment and equality in all aspects of human life’. Furthermore, ‘the prize aims to raise public awareness of how research can be used to solve global human development challenges’. The Letten Seminar, hosted in connection with the prize ceremony, is dedicated to the latter.
